I’ve lived in the Macedon Ranges since 2018. My husband and I first lived in Macedon, where we adored the village lifestyle and met many people in the local community. We now live in Kyneton on a farm with our three young children. I spend a lot of time connecting with local families and businesses – and enjoy being across what’s happening in our communities. My husband is in the CFA and I’m the president of Business Kyneton and on the board of Tourism Macedon Ranges. (You might have also seen my face pop up in one of the local Facebook groups!)

I was born in a small town in England and moved to Australia when I was 10. I went to school in regional NSW before moving to Melbourne, VIC for university (I studied my undergraduate in Science at Melbourne Uni and my Masters in Business at RMIT). I lived in the USA between 2010-2017 (San Francisco and New York) before returning home. I enjoy living and working in major cities but will always prefer the countryside and the Macedon Ranges has it in abundance.

In my early career, I was a business journalist and an early adopter of digital media (The Age once called me the ‘Social Media Queen’ 🤣). My work has also been featured in The Australian, the ABC, the BBC, HuffPost, SmartCompany, and others. I’ve been volunteering for as long as I can remember – mostly in business communities. I’ve also been working remotely since 2010.

Over the past decade, I founded three companies (The Fetch, CloudPeeps and Indie Labs) as well as a startup accelerator for women entrepreneurs called Atto (which was backed by the Victorian Government). Through these businesses, I've helped 10,000+ people find jobs, earn an income, start new businesses, and connect with their local communities. Many of these initiatives supported people living and working in regional locations.

I have board management, stakeholder engagement, grant funding, capital raising, operational, budget management, and media experience. Much of my professional experience has involved listening to people and making action happen from their feedback.
